Works hours 0745L – 1400L JFKE Street Lighting Repairs – PA Maintenance will be repairing area street lighting on outbound JFK Expressway, Tuesday 2/7 – Wednesday 2/9, 0815L-1300L Yellow Garage “Charging Point” Stations Installation – Monday thru Friday – Contractor will begin installation of 5 wall-mounted “Charging Point” stations for electric cars within the Yellow Garage on Level One. 0700L-1500L. Terminal 5 – Arrivals Level –Door A1 & A2- Contractor will commence installation of the taxi line canopy Infill. During Installation, the taxi queuing (third row only) will close. Scheduled hours: 0700L-1500L, Terminal 6 Demolition - Monday thru Friday - Contractor continue to prepare T6 for demolition. Tentative project completion TBD. Delta Terminal 2, 3, 4 - Monday thru Friday - Contractor working in the Trailer Complex; & East and West Managers Lot at Terminal 4 installing the Head houses. Work hours – 0700L-1730L. Back flow Prevention and Water Meter Upgrades, project will continue UFN. Monday thru Friday – Contractor will be working in the (A) grass area on 148th street and JFK Expressway exit ramp. Contractor will be excavating for the Lighting Vault # 6 project. Contractor will implement water meter upgrades at the following: (B)JFK Outbound ramp left lane closure, (C) Red lot north corner, (D) Single right lane closure outbound Van Wyck Expressway (the Bow Tie) and (E) Bow Tie in the Green Quadrant, (F) Green garage aisle 101 (12 spaces fence line) and (G) the exit plaza right shoulder grass area. Work hours -0700-1600L South Cargo Road Bridge - Monday thru Friday - Contractor will be installing directional signage on South Cargo Road Bridge (Eastbound & Westbound): numerous single lane closures. Work hours- 0700-1500L. Jamaica Water Pollution Control Project – DEP- Construction activities as it relates to the wastewater treatment plant. Right lane closure of 134th street between 150 Avenue and 155 Avenue. Aqueduct Road & Bridge- Corrective maintenance to be performed that will require single lane closure in the westbound direction. Tentative start date 1/30/12 for one week UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION Air Train Shutdown – Air Train will shut down service at CTA and Howard Beach line, service will be continuing from Jamaica / Federal Circle. Bus Bridge will be in affect starting at 2100-0700L nightly. March 12 through April 30, 2012. JCDecaux North America - Air Train connector (Station T2/3) Removal of exterior glass wall wrap. Schedule TBA. VWE Broken Pipe Replacement - Replacement of a broken pipe 20ftx8ftx12ft which will require a two- lane closure on the Van Wyck Expressway adjacent to Term 4 parking lot 72 hours straight Start date TBA. VWE Catch Basin Work – Van Wyck Expressway Catch Basin Preventative Maintenance- Single left lane closure inbound VWE. Upon completion, single left lane closure on the outbound Van Wyck Expressway. Schedule TBA Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS) PM’s – Left and right lane closures on the underside of the Alpha Bridge Outbound JFK Expressway for the new RWIS. ROAD CLOSURE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: CENTRAL TERMINAL DRIVE AT DELTA HANGAR 2. ALL TRAFFIC DETOURED SOUTH TO LAGUARDIA RD. AIRPORT EXIT TO 94ST ENTRANCE. NO CTB ACCESS FROM THE EAST VIA CENTRAL TERMINAL DRIVE. Due to emergency water main repairs, all traffic except taxis (CTB taxi access road not affected) is now detoured south to LaGuardia Rd. eastbound. Westbound traffic wishing to access the CTB lower level must exit the airport onto the main entrance road (service road alongside the GCP) and renter the airport at 94th St.. Access to the CTB upper level is not affected. Please notify all those that may be affected by this work. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. SATURDAY 2/4/12 - RWY 4/22 CLOSURE 06:00L until 14:00L This morning’s Compu Weather forecast for today indicates sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 40’s. Friday night partly cloudy, low in the mid 30’s with winds from the NW. During the day on Saturday, we can expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures high in the mid 40’s and winds from the North at 5-10 MPH. Based upon the forecast, a NOTAM has been issued to close RWY 4/22 on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 06:00L until 17:00L for the following work: Electrical survey work along RWY 4/22 PA Sign Shop personnel on duty for aeronautical painting issues PA Electrical personnel on duty for various electrical issues Monthly EMAS inspection RWY 4 end Local TWY closure on TWY B between TWY E and approach of RWY 4 and TWY CY and RWY 4. TWY closures/requests will be coordinated with the ADM and Air Traffic Control Tower. OPSNET has been updated with construction advisory information ROADWAY DETOUR AT THE 94TH STREET EXIT! PROJECT DURATION: ONE YEAR Beginning on Thursday, January 13th, 2011 the NYS Department of Transportation (DOT) will begin detouring outbound LaGuardia Airport traffic onto a temporary, two-lane bridge at 94th Street. This work will allow the DOT to rebuild the west side of the existing bridge. Inbound airport traffic will follow the current two lanes on the existing 94th Street bridge. This configuration will be in effect for approximately one year. Airport traffic should allow extra time to reach its destination. Please notify all who may be inconvenienced by this work.
